The Knights, from the eighth position, moved to fourth in the points table.
After Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) earlier on Sunday, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) went down to the bottom of the points table. However, all was not lost for the Men in Gold and Purple ahead of their match against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
In their last league game, the Knights came out firing on all cylinders and won by 60 runs. After being put in to bat first, Eoin Morgan and Co racked up 191 for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs. In the run-chase, the Royals tried to go after everything and subsequently, lost wickets in quick succession.
In the end, they crawled to 131 for nine, falling way short of the target. With the loss, their journey in the tournament also ended. For the Knights, they moved up to fourth in the points table.
Here are the KKR Player Ratings for the KKR vs RR match:
Shubman Gill- 8.5/10
Prior to this game, Shubman Gill didn’t have a high-strike-rate. However, he took care of the same and notched 36 runs off 24 balls, striking at 150. The youngster’s knock was laced with six glorious fours.
Nitish Rana- 1/10
Nitish Rana didn’t trouble the scorer and bagged a golden duck in the very first over of KKR’s innings. Jofra Archer found his outside edge to send him packing. The batsman took the DRS but to no avail.

Rahul Tripathi strained in the early part of his knock, but he played some delightful shots later on. In 34 balls, the right-hander scored 39 runs with four fours and two sixes. Shreyas Gopal got rid of him.
Sunil Narine- 1/10
Sunil Narine batted at number four, but couldn’t open his account. He holed out to Ben Stokes in the deep off Rahul Tewatia. With the ball in hand, he leaked 37 runs and looked rusty to say the least.

Pat Cummins- 9.5/10
Pat Cummins conceded 19 runs in the first five balls he bowled. But then he ripped the heart out of RR’s batting. He got rid of Robin Uthappa, Ben Stokes, Steve Smith and Riyan Parag to end with figures of 4-0-34-4.
